It would be a difficult issue for students suffering from Narcolepsy to decide which job to take in the future.

As senpai, having had a hard time due to Narcolepsy, I give you valuable advice.

You should do whatever job you like the best.
You must not lower the bar by yourself because of Narcolepsy. (The only jobs you should avoid are ones which have a possibility of taking others' life if you make a mistake by falling asleep, such as autobus drivers, air traffic controllers, construction workers, and so on. )

It's a matter of time until great Japanese (of course not only Japanese but international) scientists develop a new effective drug. It's said that it takes about five years to be given to patients (I know that because I have attended a clinical trial of new drugs, though I cannot tell the detail of course🙏), but the fact somewhat gives you hope. Until then, you will have a super-hard time being scolded by bosses and colleagues, as you cannot resist terrible sleepness in some important meetings, but if you keep doing your best with sincerity, they will stop complaining about you, and over time, they will admit you. And if you endure 5 years, you will be a superior boss who can realise the pain of others. So, as to sleeping, you should not care too much even if they are speaking ill of you owing to sleeping. You must not blame yourself because it's not you who have chosen this disease. Just keep your chin up! Concentrate on what you can do now, instead of discouraging yourself. Make the most of your given-talent. Be a person who can give anything to those in trouble now, rather than complaining about your circumstances.
